A DJ named Allen Freed put them on and we just loved the shows and the music. Bob earned the nickname ‘Big Bopper’ . So on October 14 of 2018 our own Big Bopper ‘Bob’, had his ’80th birthday which he celebrated with his family and he shares a picture of that here.

Jiles Perry “J. P.” Richardson Jr., known as The Big Bopper, was an American musician, singbber and songwriter whose rockabilly look, style, voice, and exuberant personality made him an early rock and roll star. He is best known for his 1958 recording of “Chantilly Lace”.
